Why Offboardly exists.
Offboardly is for the 25-person agency that deprovisions people with a Slack message and a prayer — and finds 30 active accounts for people who left two years ago.
BetterCloud and Torii are quote-based, sales-led, and built for companies with IT teams. We built the checklist-and-runbook product for everyone else: onboarding checklists from role templates, one-click offboarding runbooks, license-waste reports, and quarterly access reviews — written for the office manager, not the sysadmin.
Our rule is simple: the human turns the keys. We generate the exact steps and track who confirmed what and when — the evidence trail is the product. No silent auto-revocation, no breach porn, no invented stats.
What we won't do
- v1 is runbook-guided, not API-automated: it never provisions or revokes app access itself.
- Every deprovision step requires human confirmation. We never auto-revoke silently.
- Waste math uses approximate published list prices — labeled on every row, verified before quoting to a customer.
- Offboardly is not an identity provider or an HRIS — it starts where the HRIS stops: the apps.
